Ska Pastora and the Singing Skull This is a limited edition, signed and numbered, high-quality giclee print of "Ska Pastora and the Singing Skull," a painting by Timothy White. It depicts a Mazatec curandera blessing another woman, surrounded by salvia plants and visual images inspired by the sacrament. The painting was created in 2009 and appeared on the front cover of Shaman's Drum #79, our "Special Issue on Shamanic Uses of Salvia Divinorum." This signed and numbered print is #3 in a limited edition of only 33 prints. The image is 18" wide x 14" high, on 20" wide x 16" paper. It is printed on Somerset velvet, an acid-free archival paper, using archival inks. About the Artist: Timothy White, the founding editor of Shaman’s Drum magazine, lives and works in the mountains of southern Oregon. As an enthusiastic entheogenic and shamanic practitioner for more than thirty years, White sees his paintings and illustrations as iconic celebrations of ecstatic shamanic healing states. His illustrations and drawings have appeared not only in the magazine but in several books, including A Kayak Full of Ghosts, a collection of short stories by Lawrence Millman.
